I took the car to the dyno today. It became very clear I have a large intake restriction in my car after the first pull. Horsepower was crazy flat. But the car made two pulls and I got to drive it home.

446.7whp 323.7tq 1.21 correction factor
367whp 266tq uncorrected(6000ft)

Thanks to everyone who has made this possible over the past few years. Next step will likely involve either an aluminum rod 1.6L or a pauter rod 1.6L. I am wanting to see 550-600whp before I give up on the little motor.

That's great Steven! I can't believe you managed to squeeze that out of the little bugger. It makes me not want to give up on mine.

I believe he's running a Holset HX55 set up. http://www.4g61t.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=24180

I would love for a ride in that thing! I'm running a HX35 @ 23lbs. and it scares the shit out of me, I'd love to see what that HX55 Feels like!

edit: with those great of numbers I felt obligated to link him to your build thread. save you the trouble.
Keep up the good work!

Bobby i know sur passed that number but never dynoed just cracked off some impressive times...Maybe you might dyno the car jared? :P

Decent numbers steven i just thought it would be more, with that much boost on that size of a turbo...But who knows i doubt your overrunning anything at this point 50 trims put that power down everyday on stock stuff....What happened to the track i thought you were running it?

As I have said time and again, I don't feel this motor has ever made the power I think it could. The compression is 105-110 now. And my head and intake combo is far different than jared's car.

The forcast tueday night looked horrible on every forcast I could find. Then my tow vehicle backed out at 9pm to make matters worse. So I wanted to do something. So tuesday afternoon I made a few calls and dynopro had an opening.

You are comparing numbers to a 2.0L. That is 20%. It really does make that much of a difference. I was hoping it would do 400uncorrected and 475corrected. I tried though.

If you look at the second picture, the blue run is the first pull. You can see how flat the power is. In the datalogs, no matter the boost level, the airflow is always flat from 6500 until I let off. It never tapers up or down. I hit 4100hz on the dyno on both pulls yesterday. There is only one man doing more raw air than me with a stock intake, and that is nick. But he has a tricked out spacer and some port work as well. But he also has a 2.0L. Mike I. on dsmlink is only doing lower 3000's and went 138. So the turbo is pumping out, I am just shooting myself in the foot with this small motor and crappy intake design. No excuses, it is what it is, I tried and this is all my combo and imagination could come up with.

Do I at least get an A for effort.

I would love for Jared to surpass me. Keeps the competition alive.

Steven

I give you an A for effort. That's 229hp/L uncorrected. I guess that's kinda good considering a stock bottom end. I can't wait to see what the "next level" is for this little engine.

I am most likely going ot go nuts as money comes in. I am back to thinking the car needs more. I just wish I had a 80mm turbo. This 67/97 combo is not enough.

I also added the full chart up top.
