Saw this ad last fall in RIDEbmx magazine and I was totally shocked. my two favorite things BMX and CSMs come together for an incredible little video.

Chase Hawk is a big deal in BMX. He rides for FIT bikes and is one of the most stylish riders out there today. He climbs up onto a car port and jumps over to another with a mirage parked between them. It's awesome.

whats the gearing on BMX bikes these days? when i was riding 8-9 years ago, everyone was rocking the mainstay of 44/16.

Thats what I ran when I used to race, but now they have the mini front sprockets so I have no idea.

the typical gearing now is a 25/9 with a cassette hub. or 28/10 Some guys like Sean Burns still rock a 44/16 but it's more practical to run the smaller gearing for clearance and reduced weight.

Yeah like GT and Robinson, those were my sponsors too. Maybe I'll pull the old BMX outta the garage and see if I can jump my shit box. Then I'll probably have to go the hospital...

Still have my robinson that I used to race hanging in the garage, cracked part of the rear frame jumping off the top of a parking garage but my bud welded it up for me. Race bikes aren't designed for street. And yeah I think the old ELF Double was my first BMX, those were all still frames weren't they though?

yeah i believe they were good ol' 4130. the 1g DC's were the good ones for the rear dropouts were pretty fruit and banana thick, whereas the 2g DC's used standard thickness dropout.

i miss the old Haro V-tube design.....not to mention the monocoque.
