Well, I came to an ultimatum this morning. I said to myself, "I'm going to try to start the Colt today and if it doesn't start I'm parting it out and scrapping it." Well, don't you know I had to eat my own words. I had a dead battery at first so I pulled the Talon in behind it and jumped it for a few minutes to charge her up. Then I realized I had no gas in the tank so I threw a gallon in. I waited for the Walbro to start up and run for a couple of seconds then I tried it. This is what happened. I still have to hook up the rad hoses and intercooler piping but I just wanted to make sure that my repairs worked and obviously they did. Check it out...

So what's up with that? Last vid you made was a startup of a 4g63 swap. What has changed since then?

Well, the engine was actually a G4CN 1.8 from a Hyundai with all the 4G63 goodies. It had a MLS head gasket and ARP head studs, BS removal, ported 14b, Evo 3 O2, 450's, 91-94 harness, a 2g MAF and a few other goodies. I got it running a few times and even had it somewhat tuned with the AFC. I didn't even have any CEL. What actually happened was is while I was building the engine on the stand, I had the injectors out waiting to get some new seals and I swapped out my TPS. Well while I was doing that I dropped one of the screws for the TPS into the combustion chamber and didn't notice it. I went out to start it and tune it a little more one day and that screw finally stood up and came into contact with the intake valve on the third cylinder. Needless to say it destroyed that valve. So instead of rebuilding the head I decided to get a real turbo engine. While I was looking for one I came across a great guy that was selling a 4g61t on here real cheap and after seeing all the things that Bobby and Davis have accomplished with this engine I wanted to build my own GT. So now my 92's got a 4G61t, fresh seals up top, 14b, 3" downpipe and cat, 450's, 91-94 harness, 91-94 DSM turbo TB, 91-94 turbo ECU, 91-94 MAF, and quite a few other things. I'm trying to clone a GT somewhat but still make it look as stock as possible. I put in a GT column and gauges and I'm trying to find some seats once I get the engine running properly and get an exhaust on it. I almost gave up on her but I saw the light at the end of the tunnel once I heard it start.

Well...it's nice that you got it running again. That really sucks what happened to the other engine. Shit!

If my timing belt would have snapped on me last week, I would have suffered a bad loss too. Freaking cars and murphy's law

Yeah man, you were extremely lucky. Or you just have excellent timing.

Mmm, my G15B sounds almost exactly like that in cold mornings. Sometimes it starts with 2 cyls only.. but after about 60 secs when rev goes up everything turns fine.
