So the rusty turd finally got some paint and body work. One of my buddy's that owns a body shop did it for me and I helped on the easy stuff. We had to replace both quarters, remove the rust from the roof, and fix a million dents. I also got a bumper from Tom at blossom intallations and a turbo wing. I chose to paint the car Hot Hues Hotrod black (flat black) and as an accent color we did a Hot Hues blue color but I cant remember the name. For the interior I did if mostly in undercoating since its gutted it should hold up a lot better. We also blacked out all of my lights.

So old pics

dont the the picture fool you it was a nice faded red

How come the front half of the car is shinier than the rear quarters and trunk? I think you can really see it in the tow truck pick. :x

Looks bad ass, wish I had a Blossom bumper.

I like everything but the painted lights. OH and that ITSTHSHIT decal was awesome haha.

If the car was trailered right after teh painting it might explain why the paint looks different on the car as it would be cured on the front but not the rear.

If you really want to have fun with a flat black car... take a pencil and draw ghost flames on the hood. Looks badass.

Berz out.

My car never had a turbo bumper, it was a 92 GL. As for the the quarters not matching the doors they dont. Next week we plan on redoing the quarters and hopefully the come out close to the same finish. I guess that color is really hard to match, I talked to a guy with a 350z with the same paint and none of his panels matched at all.

And thanks for all the comments guys.

Me too, I am thinking of the factory gray like to4garrett's sedan. The car looks really nice in satin or flat.

I've never really liked flat black much, but that looks bloody good. Very staunch!

How are you gonna see at night with those headlights though? :-?

Looks very good man! Most people just don't realize how much time and work goes into preparing the body for paint. I was sanding in my sleep when I was working on my Colt  . Nice work on the rust repair too, most people just cover it with body filler and then wonder why the rust is back a year later. Very impressed.
