That company makes adapters for anything you could ever imagine. If they don't, they will make a custom one for you and then they will begin selling that. |

Honestly, I don't like either option in your poll. I find a 4g63 a poor choice to replace a vw air cooled boxer. Iron blocked engine vs aluminum blocked engine... The best choice would probably be a Subaru EJ series engine. Next best choice would be a Mazda KL series V6. I plan on using one of those engines to replace the wasserboxer in the Vanagon soon. |

well they run 2.0 8 valve vw motors in the race cars all the time. and have you ever picked up an ej 20 or ej25 the way as much as a 4g63. i was just thinkingit would be cool to have a 500hp 4g63 in a ghia but ill will probably stay aircooled. also the wasserboxer case is a great drag case if you machine the water jackets off and put air cooled jugs in it they take alot of abbuse. |

The benefit of the flat or v engines is the lower center of gravity. I'm going to have to go that way to get everything fitted nicely under the engine cover. I'm also doing it to replace the overheated/broken engine. Big benefit is cheaper and easier to find parts. I can find subarus and mazda engines all day long at the pick-n-pull. Try finding a wasserboxer. |

I think it would be pretty bad ass to have a 4g in a ghia. a friend of mine and i were thinking of doing the same to his sandrail. And if you did eventualy decide to get the adapter my coworker's room mate works at kennedy engineering Products (its about 15min away from my apartment) so let me know |

the JDM KL-ZE is a sweet motor, but why bother with that mazda motor when you have the FE-DOHC? |
