Hey guys, just wondering if any of you remember or have any info about my car from back in the day. It's a red '89 Summit 4dr that I was told was swapped by Eric Jones from AMS and might have been his car as well. I've heard from some people that the car used to be pretty badass, I mean not that isn't now  , but thought it would be pretty cool to hear some stories or see some pictures from before I owned it. Here's some pics in it's current state... Thanks again, Chris

I haven't been around long but I've seen this car before and I think it's bad ass. I always liked the red on bronze look too. Nice car bro.

I remember seeing it for sale on this board a coupla months back. Everyone seemed to like it, but as things go.....
No one had any money, or they lived too far away

I'm glad to see you signed up on the board. It's previous obvious you're a gearhead :), So I hope to hear of great things with you and your new ride!!

You are correct. Eric did swap that car. It was a long time ago. 7-8 years ago i believe. I tried buying that car 3 times. and each time i had the money, he'd change his mind about selling it. It had some pretty serious wiring issues.

Does have Gvr4 leather seats which is pretty sweet.

You remember any more details with the wiring problems. I know the MAF wires were pretty messed up when I got it and was throwing some CELs. I rewired a lot of that and the CELs are gone and it's running a lot better now, but it's still running ridiculously rich. I've got the Link ready to go for the spring, so hopefully that will solve some issues as well.

I think the seats are from a conquest or at least that's what I've been told...

Get on 502SS and search his FS threads or even all his threads about the car.

Those are definately 83-87 style Conquest/Starion seats. How much bracketry was made to make them fit?

I don't think there was too much changed as far as the brackets go at least in the front. The ones in the back don't seem to fit as well as the front, but unless you really pull and tug on them you can't really tell they aren't stock. The one thing I'm amazed by is how much leg room there is in the back seat. There is a ton more than my WRX sedan and a lot more than my sisters Hyundai Elantra. I know those aren't big cars either, but it's still pretty impressive for how tiny this car is. Here's the only pic I have of the back seats. Both the front and rear are in great condition. No rips and holes anywhere.

That car looks great man is it awd? That red is probably the same as my hyundai elantra. That interior is nuts, over all good car and with more TLC like you have been, it will turn even better. Keep us updated

Nope not AWD.... yet haha. That won't be for a while.

I'm killing myself on what do with this thing over the winter. I'm shooting for 400-450 to the wheels and I've honestly spent like the last month trying to figure out everything I need to get there. I currently trying to decide which turbo between a 50-trim, scm-6152, or going the holset route (HX40 w/ bullseye housing probably). Also trying to decide what size FMIC I'm going to go with whether it's the core size, short route or not, and the piping options. O sooo many possibilities haha. Going with 1000cc injectors and should be getting close to my goal along with the stuff I already have (DSMlink, 2g piston/1g rods 6-bolt, 3" side-exit exhaust, 2g mani, evo3 o2, walbro 255, 2g mas)

Any suggestions to help me get there quicker/cheaper/better???

You can make 450hp on stock block I was around there for a long time. Get a 60-1 and a ebay mani. It'll make good power and it'll be fast.. Do a rear entry FMIC. Then trade me that thing for my s10

I was definitely looking at doing a rear entry setup, just trying to figure out the right dimensions to fit through the core support and everything. Was thinking around 3-3.5" thick and from searching it looks like 8" tall is the best for fitting correctly without hacking the shit out of the front bumper. The length is the difficult one to figure out... any suggestions on that.

Also what's the best way to find piping? I know no one's going to make piping for our cars, so do most of you make your own or what. I was thinking of trying one of the universal piping kits on ebay, but not sure if that's the best way to go or not. Thanks guys for all the suggestions by the way. Always nice to get some positive feedback and good ideas.
