When I put my 240SX up for sale, my original plan was to buy a 2009 Honda Fit to use as a DD. That way I could have a 100% trouble-free car, and could then concentrate on the Mirage.

Well...with the lending situation being the way it is, and with my income after graduation being a big question mark, I decided that a car payment wasn't exactly the best thing for me to have right now.

So after helping my brother work on his Miata, I decided to look into getting one for myself. After scouring the southeast for a 99+ Miata (I wanted the NB body style with fixed headlights and the 1.8L engine), I found one literally about 2 miles from my house.

After fixing some issues it had (EGR-related check engine light, windows not working, a bunch of loose screws, etc), the car runs and drives like a champ. I recently put in some JDM seats, a strut tower bar, and a JDM hard top (I should seriously own stock in JHOT by now).

The best part was the price. I got the owner to sell if for the KBB "fair condition" price of $4625. So even with the hard top, seats, window regulators, misc parts, I've only spent as much as I got for selling my 240SX ($5500). It's not as fast, but it gets way better mpg and is probably more fun to drive than the 240 was.

My only plans for it are some shocks (most likely KYB AGX), some lowering springs, an exhaust, and eventually some 15x7s.

So here are the pics, before the hard top, and then with the hard top on it. (BTW, the top is actually blue...in person it's easier to see that it doesn't match)

I love hardtop convertibles. Miata's and S2K's especially look amazing with a hardtop. You're gonna love that car, probably more than your Mirage. :P

Why is it that I can't see any pictures on the website anymore?

Edit: I can see the pics now. BTW, the hardtop is dope on that car. Good look!
