Looking for a wagon. Would like white and 5 spd. How hard is it to find the AWD?

What's up David, this is Chris (92GSXman from Carolinadsm). The awd models are out there but they are quite rare, especially with a manual tranny. You don't see too many of these things around, not even fwd or automatic. I would keep an eye on craigslist, autotrader and ebay. Are you willing to travel to get it? Would you consider another color other than white? Also remember the Mitsubishi Expo and the Plymouth Colt Vista are the same thing.

If you're not dead set on awd there is a fwd/auto down in Fayetteville with no engine/tranny for $300 and its white. Back window is busted out but it looks to be clean. I think the guy bought it from an insurance sale and sold the engine and tranny.

Can you get me his info? How easy is it to switch over to manual? As easy as a DSM?

I will look through my old emails and try to find his info. The manual swap is about the same. Only thing different is the brake pedal, its a long bar that runs the entire length of the dash. The brake booster and master cylinder are on the passenger's side. You have to pull the dash and the heat/ac boxes unless you just cut the auto brake pedal and make it smaller. I bought a 94 Colt Vista a few years ago with a bad auto tranny and swapped it over to a manual. I kept the stock engine in it though, I didn't swap in a 4G63T or anything.
