I'm sure all of you know my car and have seen it evolve here (more than once) but the time has finally come for me. I've had this car since it was new. My grandfather bought it in 91 as a 92 model. Back then it was a red 92 Colt base model with a 1.5 12 valve and a 4 speed cable. In 96 my cousin inherited the car when my grandfather passed away and had it up until about 2004 when the car started acting up. It was a couple years after that that I got it. I did the 4G37 upgrade parts on it and it ran great for a few months until the timing slipped and I was too lazy to fix it. Anyway, here's the specs... The good: 4G63t New Evo 8 pistons New 1g big rods New ACL race bearings New Felpro head gasket New OEM oil pump BS delete Evo 3 cams OBX adjustable cam gears Sealed Power piston rings 63t NT intake manifold 1g throttle body and elbow 1g SMIC and piping 2g exhaust manifold NT clutch and flywheel with maybe 500 miles on it Big 16g turbo in great shape 3" 2g AWD downpipe and universal 3" in and out cat 3" exhaust all the way back to a stainless muffler with silencer GT seats, steering column, shifter assembly, gauge cluster The Bad: The car was wrecked twice, once in the passenger side and once in the front but since fixed The struts in the back are blown The seats are coming apart at the seams The TOB makes noise when the clutch is pushed in The KM201 grinds when coming in or out of 3rd Basically I need some money. I've got probably $1500 in the motor and $2000 in the rest of the car. I'll be asking $2000 for it but that price is negotiable. Call me at 724-624-4398 if you have any questions. Will post pics later. |

Well...Vance was awesome but I had to back out of the sale of this car. I started to get sad when I thought of the fact that someone else was going to own my car. I have an extensive history with this car and it was too hard to let go. Any amount of money couldn't persuade me to sell her. She's been in the family since new and it hurt me too much to think that I was selling the only thing I have left of my grandfather and cousin besides pictures and memories. But I sold my other Colt so I can make this one even better. You guys are like my family now and if it wasn't for the support of people like Chris(89mirageman), Tony(CaptainTonus), Gary(2.0pwrdc50), Shawn(Turboshawn), Terry(miragerunner), Cody(Mechacode), Steve(hemi-colt), and NUMEROUS others this car wouldn't be where it is today. It truly is a MONSTER on the street and it always puts a smile on my face when that turbo spools up and the tires cut loose. Thanks guys for all the help as it really meant alot. I'm still in the game and have more ambition now to get the looks of the thing just right. I have a set of front black leather seats from a Conquest that I put in but the rails are all ghetto so my cousin and I car going to fab some up the right way. The stereo's back in and the interior is back together so I just need to get a good set of speakers for the doors and rear and I'll be in good shape. Anyway, I'll keep an update thread open so you guys can check it out from time to time. |

Glad to hear it man! I knew you didn't want to sell it but sometimes life and priorities make us give up certain things. Glad you were able to work around this and keep your car and the memories of loved ones who have moved on. Now you can delete this thread and blame us again. |
