Okay everyone....don't bash me for putting this out. You all know I love these CSMs dearly....I own two of them, in fact. But away from what is in my heart, there is something that has come up and I will need financial flexibility to accomplish it. Do not pester me of my reasons.....it's none of your business to know what's going on. This is solely for a motivated buyer to engage upon. I already know this is something that I will regret for the rest of my life, and by each keystroke I regret already.....so don't make it any harder for me. This car is irreplaceable.

I'm starting this ad here first, out of respect for the CSM community. If I don't see a serious/motivated buyer then I will move on to simultaneously list it on Craigslist and Ebay.

I bought it just over a year ago. It was in non-running condition.....not wrecked, but not ready to be driven. Since then it has had numerous touchups to make it where it is today. I have done all of the work myself, and has never been out of my hands. It's drives with no problems whatsoever.

The run down:
146k miles on chassis
Newer engine, 4g61t imported....surely, I can find the documentation to prove purchase
New timing belt
New clutch
New axles
New battery (relocated to the back, in box w/150 amp circuit breaker)
New starter
KYB GR2 struts and lowering springs
Lower ball joints on the factory control arms were shot...swapped out them for Elantra control arms with brand new ball joints
New tie-rod ends
Clean interior
Keyless entry
Boost gauge installed
A/F gauge installed (though not a wideband setup)
Manual boost controller installed

*break* This car is rare, meaning it has the options of an original turbo Colt GT
Power windows and cruise-control (I have the only Mirage turbo with these options)
Complete bumper swap from a turbo Colt GT, and swapped color-matching trim along the sides/bumpers
That is where it's rarity ends, besides the fact these cars are rare to begin in the first place.

I am surely forgetting some things......I have put money, sweat, blood, and tears into this car. In case I haven't mentioned it before, I really don't want to lose this car.....and while all this seems unjust, I would like to see $3,200 .......but let's see how things go.

Brian

My camera is in someone else's hands at this time. So, here are some pictures I took previously to show. I'm sorry, but I will not be taking the time to send pics out to emails individually. I have been sick since yesterday, and been working outside in the cold and heavy winds since 8 am today.....so I assure you that I am sick, my voice is gone, and I have absolutely no energy right now. Please, give me a day to correspond.

Wish I could get it, but i'm down to two cars now and will be selling mine also. So don't feel bad about the sale you have to do what you have to do.

Good luck.

Pretty sweet car. Too bad it wasn't a little closer and with a 4g63.

What difference does that make?

Not sticking up for the new guy, but I'd pay more for a clean CSM with 4g63 than a clean CSM with 4g61. Just my .02 and this is a really nice example of a clean CSM.

So is this an original Mirage turbo or was it a base model converted to all the options/trim/parts of a Mirage turbo? If converted, are the rear brakes still drums? Did the CSM turbo cars come non-intercooled from the factory?

A 4G61 has just as much potential as a 4G63 and can be just as fun.

His car is an original Mirage turbo. They were all non-intercooled from the factory.

Damnit I want this car sooo bad!!! Why can't you be closer??

I wish mine had cruise and power windows, I bet that is the shit man.

GLWS and bump for another clean white original turbo car.

I have owned an Evo but am no CSM/DSM expert. From what I have read there are more readily available parts for the 4g63 and those parts are plug and play, whereas more often you have to modify 4g63 parts to get them to work on a 4g61. That is my rationale but please serve me with some knowledge if I am wrong. I understand this is all a learning process.

The reason I have jumped on the CSM bandwagon is for the following reasons:
cost
I have always loved hatchbacks
the motor in my evo was incredible with just an exhaust and tune
the CSM is much lighter than my evo
I can't imagine how much fun a CSM would be with a 4g63 - ie the same power as my evo with 1,000 lbs less weight.
