I found my leak. Its a few spots. Time for a new tank.

I have the clutch switch bypassed. Its a pain to always be sitting to crank it over. I like to just reach in thru the window.
I have yet to get back to see about the starter. I had to deal with the tank first.
At least the car is looking more complete.

This car is going to end up being a restoration job.
The rockers need to be cut out and replaced with new metal. That might be next winter's job.

Weird. I removed the starter and installed on a spare motor, and it cranks!
Anyhow, issue resolved.
Now it waits for a new gas tank and sending unit.

Hopefully enough use will deal with the potential "bad" spot or stuck plunger. Time is never that nice to parts that sit.

You definitely have a large wire running from one of the starter bolts, back to chassis/battery ground, yeah?

Yup. Tranny is grounded firmly to the frame and large cable from starter bolt to battery.
