Few months ago I saw a 1989 Eagle Summit LX DOHC for sale and being honest I never heard of them until I saw this one for sale, pretty much a 92 Mitsubishi Mirage GS but in 1989, also I have heard that in 1990 some CSMs came with 4g61 n/a, does anyone know production numbers of these versions?

Eagle built the 1.6 sedans in 89-90 and then Mitsu had the GS in 91-92 I believe. I had a red 89 lx a few years ago that I bought on here. Chris (Mitsuman), he's a member on here but more active over on mirage forums had a hatch with the 1.6 na engine and as far as we could tell it came that way. Only one I've ever seen or heard about so that one was rare for sure. No idea on the production #'s on any of these and no idea how to find out.

I want to say that Eagle sales were probably lower than Mitsu/Dodge/Plymouth just because it was Eagle, but no proof as of yet.
Eagle got better interior upgrades because they never got a turbocharged setup.

I wonder if sales figures have been posted online concerning that, but individual models likely only have been printed in collector guides/generic auto guides. I have books like that, wonder what's listed in them.

Seems more and more sites are translating specs including COefficient of drag, power/torque graphs, etc. somebody do a little search for Eagle model sales figures and see what hits.

I got all my upgrade parts from an 89 Summit LX sedan, but I can't say I ever saw another.

Thats funny whenever I'm looking for csm's all I ever usually find are the summits or Plymouth versions.(also at the junkyards)maybe its a regional thing.Proximity of certain dealer's per area and such.

I've noticed the same thing. I see way more colts and summits than I do mirages. Don't see many of either of them lately though. They are getting more and more scarce for sure.

Very true we need to stockpile some decent body shells before all the decent ones are off the market.
Even the junkyards have been dry of csms

Also
I've been having a hell of a time finding a 4g63t in decent shape thats not attached to a cl car.
I guess I could get a non turbo jdm 4g63 cheap enough

Decent 4G63's have been hard to find for a long time. People have been running through the non-turbo engines for quite a while as well. :-?

No shortage for engines here, I have five 6 bolts laying around and a very rare DOHC 4g64 7 bolt. Now actual cars on the other hand... :-?

I'll buy them all off you for $100, since you clearly don't need them.

That's only if you live where it snows a lot and they salt the roads or if you live really close to the ocean. I'd say from Maryland on down you'll have very few problems with rust from salt unless its from the coast.

I've found a couple of the Eagle Summit LX's with the na 1.6's in the yards. I've came across one Mirage GS, 1.6. I also came across an Mirage with odd stripes, believe it had SE on the stripe, it had the AWD badge on the grill. However it was only FWD...

Yeah the cars around me (sw VA) are not prone to rusting like up north. When you get up past MD is where the rusting fun begins. My main problem with finding another clean CSM is the fact that these are and were economical means of transportation and weren't taken car of like a more expensive model, I just can't seems to find them at all lately. lmao
