I just learned there was only 2500 wagon made that one year, and only for Japan. Some were imported to New Zealand.
Bummer.
Why do we only get the lesser quality Mitsubishi up here in Canada?

You can build one out of a Lancer Sportback, if you were so-inclined. ;) I think they only made these for one year as well...

Revenge for Nagasaki and Hiroshima is my guess.

Dude, if you look up what the japanese did during WW2...you'd see that they deserved every inch of nuclear bombing. Not gonna lie, I was kinda sick to my stomach when I read about their involvment in the war.

That being said, Those wagons are fairly common-ish up here. I've been thinking of getting one :).

Oh, I agree whole-heartedly. Just a theory. :)

I use to see those Lancer Sportbacks all the time around here but I haven't seen one in years. Call me crazy but I always thought they were kind of cool looking and thought they would be a good basis for swap...another one of those "ugly but fast and unique" things. I've always been a huge fan of Lancers, that's probably why when my wife was looking for her first car I told her to get the new Lancer ES, that was a mistake. 4G94 2.0 SOHC and an adaptive automatic trans...garbage.

I can guarantee one thing, you'd never see another wagon like it, that's for sure.

They're a tricky car to swap though. They're drive by wire, and 4G94 MIVEC. I've got access to boosted ROMs for that engine, but it won't work with ECUFlash. The Tactrix 2.0 is needed, as is MMCFlash, which comes to a $500 total :(.

Not worth swapping. I'd rather just buy a 2005-2009 Subaru legacy wagon Xt.

The ralliart model we get up here is garbage. Only available with automatic tranny. Ugly front end. Only available in fwd.
IMO , no a good base for a swap.
Bleh.
Evo wagon or nothing .

You could swap a Outlander too. The one AMS did was bad ass!

I almost just threw up a little bit after seeing an Evo look like that...
