So here I am second deployment in Japan with the Marines and I finally come across a Mitsubishi Evolution 3 GSR in a junkyard. only missing rims and a shift knob. Turns out I have a 95 Mirage Sedan stateside... problem... I have a deal to have it to my self till sunday and the only day I don't work is sunday... so I have one day to strip it before it open to the public. I just scored HKS its HKS Hyper-D coilovers off of it for $180. Hood is $40 and trunk and spoiler is $40, AWD trans $200, driveshaft and transfer case and entire rear subframe with brakes is $250 :supz: basically I have stumbled on a gold mine with dirt cheap prices. 8)

*** there is no way for me to ship this whole car to the states TRUST ME! I have exhausted every option***

Heres my list of things to grab, if they have a price then that's what they were told to me. if no price then unknown at this time.

- Coilovers $180 (already bought) HKS!!! :finga:
- Trunk and spoiler $40
- Intercooler 40
- Hood $40
- front bumber $40
- Side Skirts $30
- Recaro passenger seat $45
- rear seats $?
- rear bumper add ons $10
- Rear window wiper, motor, relay and switch $?
- center console (between seats) $?
- ECU $35
- Gauge Cluster $35
- corner lights $10
- fender lights $?
- REAR SUBFRAME $180!!!
- Trans $200
- TCase $?
-After Market exhaust (maybe)[unknown brand] $?
-Turbo $100 (depends on condition)
-oil cooler $?

AM I MISSING ANYTHING??? PLEASE LET ME KNOW IM LIMITED ON SPACE IN MY PACK UP AND HAVE TO SHIP EVERYTHING ELSE

I would only focus on that stuff that is JDM-specific that you can't get in the US. Get as many of the body parts as you can. You don't REALLY need an engine or trans or any of that stuff, because you could use DSM stuff, ya know? It would be cool to have it all though. If you get the rear diff then you have to use the JDM trans because the gearing is different. Even if you don't end up using any of that stuff in your own car, you could sell it all and probably make money off it once you get back to the US, as long as you don't get totally raped on shipping.

*edit* - I think these trannies have a front clutch-type LSD, but you need the intermediate shaft and axles to be able to use it, it won't work with US axles. Just putting that out there.

I'd also pull the engine and dash wiring as well as the auto climate control stuff. You can mod it to fit a LHD chassis. How much is it going to cost you to ship all of this stuff back home though?

well my other shops have guaranteed me a spot in the pack up to put some of my stuff but the bumper and hood will have to be shipped home. couple hundred im assuming, im not looking for the engine and trans anymore because of cost but im going to get the rear diff and subframe. ill just swap in eclipse gears and use eclipse drivetrain. im getting the entire body kit for CHEAP and some JDM specific shit, deff taking the wiring harness and ECU and prob climate control... im aware of the gearing issue but is there anything else I may be missing???

Front control arms any different from stateside ones on base FWD models of that era??

Something about aluminum control arms is ringing a bell here, but I could be wrong ....

More positive caster by adding E3 arms to an otherwise E1 setup. 8)

There are Urethane bushings and anti-lift stuff available in this thread here: http://www.4gtuner.com/topic/11113-evo- ... -settings/

Pic of the part they refer to.

You want positive caster and lots of it. Heck, your C60 style Lancer needs more too!

ECU wiring harness ... if you have time.

Any differences between the Evo3 ECU and ones stateside would at least be included in the harness.

Take whatever sensors look like they would be hard to duplicate on this side of the pond.
