Seen some dashes recently, that were covered in flocking. Neat look, not so neat would be the longevity of bright colors and fibers if in a high use area.

If it does help dash creak, or makes custom panels that much more desirable to look at, some of these race cars could look a little less "racy" if they ever get pulled over.
