ok, this is for my truck that im using for the house. I have all three matching rims when I bought the truck a year ago. I have one odd ball that's smaller. I finally got around to changing it out, but the rim I got "FREE" didn't exactly fit perfect...two holes fit, the others needed to be drilled out...
its 5x4.75
my question is this safe? iv read online and there will always be two sides to everything. im looking for anyone who has done this maybe to make some rims fit? I bored out 4 of the 5 holes and its on.. Im just curious...

The wheel must be centered on the hub. If it isn't, you're gonna have serious problems

What he said ^^^.

Don't drill anything sideways. You get what I mean. They only put material and enough of it, if the holes stay the same, whether alum or steel. Drilling it out sideways, compromises things.
Buy a rim. Find a scrap truck, buy those rims. Lots of option.

P.S. Does that oddball rim match the other three? Are they all steel?

yea the odd ball rim does match same size, just bent. Had a smaller size tire than the rest 235. I used drill press, was able to center out all the holes on the new rim. It fit on the drum, but thinking about it today. I marked all lugs, took for test drive and they didn't move. I'm just going to switch back just to be safe. I took this extra rim out of a jeep that came with a matching beefy tire. Thanks for the replies! And all the rims were steel
