LILEVO, I am seeing your car all over facebook today lol.
I got to get a tune this weekend. If I run dsmlink this weekend instead of my safc and get a base tune and some data would anyone be willing to help me out to make it safe to drive to shootout?

It just doesn't look good for me being able to go this year. I put in some hard efforts on the colt. I do have today to get a tune finish my gauge install and get this car on the road, but even then I will only have 1,3,5 as gears causI i need to do the trans shifter link trick of welding a colt bracket on

You don't need that bracket really, you can drill a 5/16" hole in the dsm shifter. Then attach the cable from underneath with a 5/16" bolt and locknut. Leave the nut just loose enough to where the end of the shift cable can rotate freely but not so loose that it has slop. I did this on a 4g mirage sedan and my last eagle summit wagon with zero issues, worked perfect!

His issue also looks to be a problem with the Shifter. Looks like it may be from a different car (his may have been an auto conversion). He thinks the shifter may be form a Galant. He isn't getting enough throw for 2-4-r

89mirageman.... are you talking about putting a hole in the welded trans shift linkage? I think I understand what you are saying is the Welded trans shift linkage (twists on the vertical axis) that bends way down on a colt and bends slightly on a dsm can be drilled and use a bolt as the pin so the shift cable can attach at a closer location??? If so that sound pretty awesome. I am .25in short on throw. It does go into gear but pops out due to is not being fully engaged. It would be impossible for me to go to shootout unless the following would happen. The exhaust gets completed by Wednesday. I can get my buddy to install a dsm awd driver side cv axles with the midshaft (thanks Thom for letting me know this will work), install 450cc injectors, install 14b and put a stock ecu back in the car and leave the afc alone. Also I would have to do the previously mention by mirageman trans link adaptation. But it still leave the braking issue, I meant to check the break booster. I had little braking but good pedal.

That's exactly what I meant. By attaching the cable end under that shifter arm and closer to the middle it mimics the location of the bent arm on the csm trans. If you can post a pic of what you have I can tell you if its stock or not.

I saw some familiar cars, but didn't really get the chance to talk to anyone cause I was feeling like doo-doo all weekend. Hopefully I have a car next year to strike up some conversation with. I also think it would be cool if we blocked off parking like the gvr4 guys did so that all the CSM's could be together.

A CSM area would be nice, but we had 7 cars in our group (only 2 csm's) so we made our own area.
