These cars are so cheap its hard to turn them down when one turns up. I actually kept my last Summit wagon for over a year, that's a record for me  .

Sup colt-r! Glad to see so many peeps around, warms the heart.

Obligatory "I've been here a while and am still into Mitsu's" post.

Holy shit, 10 years is right around the corner. This forum man... age 16-26 and still a Mitsu owner. Someone shoot me.

I'm still around! Sorta...

I pop in every now and again to see what all is happening. I've been a member here for over 11 years. :o Haven't had a Colt since 2006, though.

I just now saw an ad her for an '89 Turbo in Chicago that got sold back in March. I kind of wish I had known about that when it was still available; I very well might have caved!

Good to see all you old timers come out of the woodwork!! I still occasionally check-in here but not as frequently as I used to.

I still have my Colt. The input shaft bearing in the trans is noisy so I'm not driving it, but it runs fine and could be driven. Instead of fixing the trans, I amassed parts for AWD swap, but recently bought my first house and the colt build is back-burner at the moment. Important thing is, its paid for and I have the space to keep it. No part-out or for sale threads in the future.
My talon is still getting driven on a regular basis and will be recieving a turbo upgrade in the next couple weeks.

Paul! Congrats on the house, buddy. Did you go to the shootout this year?

Thanks for the congrats Tonus!!
The shootout was excellent this year. :D You'll likely read that it was boring on the forums with shootout noobs.
There were still people out working on cars in the parking lots, partying, conversing...just not the riot-level insanity of years prior.
Everyone was complaining at 3am that it was too quiet, but it was kinda nice knowing some intoxicated idiot wouldn't steal a fire extinguisher and spray my car while I was sleeping and leave empty cans laying on it.
Speaking of 4g61t old timers, I ran into Underdog (Tom) while I was down there...

I'm sort of glad that I got to experience the shootout in all of its insanity. I really, really need to get out there next year. I say that every year, but good lord I miss it!

Yeah, we're sort of like a bad case of herpes, aren't we? Always there lingering in the background...

Hell, I haven't had a CSM for over 2 years and I still come on here everyday at least once.

Old Timer over here too. I've been with the site since 1999. I believe my original name was phntmenace, but that's another story. It's been more than a pleasure either doing business with, or seeing your guys grow up, and build some hella fast cars!!

cheers,

Geoff

My 88 sedan still rests in the garage. Parked since 2006.
Still waiting for a good home.

I still remember a lot of different guys from this forum. One thing that just struck my memory, which guy was it on here that lost his entire house and cars (including a sweet CSM) to the wildfires in California or Oregon a few years back? Does anyone remember him? Last I heard from him he was rebuilding his house.

I've had a lot of fun on here and you guys became like family members to me. Terry, Tony, Chris, Aaron, Chris Twombly, TurboShawn (queer), Jason, Bobby (dragstr4g61t), and many many others. That's why I keep coming back. Because y'all always made me feel like this is where I belonged and I had a lot of fun here. Hell, I still have a picture of my oldest son Conner wearing a custom made 4g61t.org baby onesie.

Image

Thanks for all of the memories guys!
