I realize the video is kinda long, but I found it interesting and had no idea about Kia prior to watching this.

Yeah, the 3G crowd have been using the Kia DOHC head on their SOHC 4G64 blocks for a while now. The yards up here are full of those, as well as the 00-05 Sonatas, which have the same DOHC 2.4 :).

When the 61T in my colt kicks it, I'll be swapping to one of those. I'm looking for a major project :).

Gotta love ol' Jafro, he makes some really cool videos. I have a bottom end here from an 02 Eclipse that I need to do something with. I actually had a Hyundai head from an 02 Optima but traded it.

Local dsm guys just are catching on to the Hyundai stuff here at the junkyards. In the past they went untouched because nobody knew anything about them.

Sweet vid! Been watching a bunch of Jafro's stuff this winter. A little prep or rather motivation to start tearing into the car again.

It's just crazy how these new, or sorta new, things pop up. One of the things I love about being a Mitsu fanatic. I'll have to check out some more of his videos.

We got a Sonata head. If you notice the bolt pattern on the outer gasket area of the valve cover does not match an Evo. It was close but we could not use it for Evo head cores.

Whats the compression on the 4g64 3g pistons? Are they different than the g4js pistons? thats pretty good swap for the 3g eclipses, they are not that bad at all with this...
