Damn that was fun! Plus money and a trophy to boot! The only way it could have been better is if I would have tapped the brakes in the first round of B-1 elimimations.
If I thought I was hooked last year, then I guess I'm a full on junkie after this year.

I saw you beating the crap out of your car out there! Did you drive all the way there from New York, or did you trailer your car?

I also got to meet Aaron and check out his car. Very clean! Didn't get a chance to take a spin with you in that thing, so I guess you just owe me for next year haha. I had a great time as always. Can't wait to actually have something 4g63 powered there again.

Any pics? Sounds like fun! I was looking some pics online. Wish I could have gone this year, I was all ready for it. But other things came up. I Was able to get to the track for import wars; midwest Vs PR, but snapped a axle in half off the line :ANAL: Yea the trailer ideal is what Im gonna look into after I get this house first.

This was the scene on the 14th and 15th:

First thing on the 15th I had to drive 1.5 hours each way to STM to get this:

...because I had the pleasant suprize of finding this and a toasted second gear syncro:

Then on the 16th at around 6pm I drove it to the shootout and beat the crap out of it losing the trim on my driver door in the process.
Then I drove it all the way back to NY:

The only other casualty was a cracked front outer CV boot that was fine on Thursday.

Yea you were ripping it. There were a few csm's there, more than I expected. I made the 8hr drive in my Summit and enjoyed every second of it! :D

I had aspirations of one day putting an auto in my car, but with the twin disk that all faded away. Now it's time to start breaking 5 speeds. Then my dreams of a paddle shifted four speed will begin to re-emerge. LOL

I've never broken a transmission or t-case (knocks on wood), but I've also never been a proponent of unsprung clutch disks; now I have two of them in my car :-? .

Edit: I did break the cable clutch 4 speed in this car, but that was due to bearing failure, not exessive power or mods (it had none of either). More of a slow death than a break.

It was good to meet you cheaptalon and thanks for the complements. And no big deal missing out on the ride my clutch started slipping bad on my 4th pass down the track.

I had a great time like always I ended up meeting the whole antilag crew, really cool guys! Also talked with Matt with the old Grass roots car, I love that car and love seeing it go down the track.

I ended up racing just on Saturday for test and tune. I couldn't launch the car for shit or find second gear (hoping it was the clutch not my driving lol) but the 4th pass I ended up with a 11.9 @ 120 (new personal best!) with a terrible 60' and the clutch slipping.
