I remembered yesterday that I was provided with a gas door when I bought the cables so I dug it up and as I suspected there was this tab. Since the door was black and my car is white I just broke the tab off and bolted it to my car. Now the door actually pops open. The reason I knew the tabs on the plastic part wasn't the popper was because my talon has the exact piece and both of the tabs are broke and it still pops open. Now we all know how these work :D

Yeah Chris, the tab isn't as obvious as a DSM. I am excited to use the lever instead of a key.

A little off topic but I still wish someone would take an electric popper from a 92-95 elantra and mod it to fit a hatch. Would be cool to have a push button hatch release on these things.
