I thought it was a Pajero, but couldn't find any pics of one with that top....

No the US did not get the Pajero. We got the Montero.

Nah, from what I can see they're the same thing. The one in the picture is a Pajaro J-Top which is based on the Pajaro Jr (little 2 door hardtop Pajaro)
I've heard that pajaro means wanker in Spanish? :lol: Which might be why they changed the name for your market?
