I just traded my green cup factory turbo drivers axle the wasn't leaking, it only had weather checked boots, for a skinny Carquest reman. I feel like a dumbass and feel dirty. Lol |

From all the info here on this forum, that's what you get these days if you can get one at all. Its not a non turbo axle, its the correct knuckles, splines, length etc, just a smaller diameter shaft. I've read every axle thread numerous times now. I figure if I want big axles I can just use awd dsm axles since I have Expo hubs/spindles already. |

Sorry to go off topic. How was the caster/camber on the car with the expo spindles? I have them and the car isn't even drivable |

Its still torn apart. I'm gathering all new parts before I put it back together. I'm not worried as I have camber plates andalso extra caster bushings from Super Pro. More caster is better for high speed anyway. |

Elantra lca's. Thats the ticket to dsm axles in our cars, in conjunction with either the expo or dsm spindles! |

The center shaft would require removal of the ends/cups but you can swap them out, or trade the new parts onto them. Messy and yes you have to regoop, and seal the boots, but then you get the save the inner segments. Just a thought, don't be too hard on yourself, as the aftermarket is a stress to deal with anyways. |

I would tell them its the wrong part. also in some catalogs it's for an 88'. Why roll around with a weaker axle that doesn't quite fit right. Numerous people on the board were in the same position you were, all of them took them back. Don't be a pansy |

Well, it seemed to me that several people here said that's what they used and were ok with it. It sounds like very few got "lucky" and got a thick axle, most got the skinny one of proper legnth and a few kept getting long axles, all from the same part #. I need the car back together and can't wait for months to try and keep ordering the same part over and over. To be honest this axle has turned into such a pain in the ass for me that I'm almost tempted to try awd dsm axles and see if they fit, then if they don't get Elantra control arms. I already bought Super Pro bushings for my stock lcas but whatever. At this point money is not an object, getting my car back together is. |

The OEM passenger axle measures 23.4mm. The OEM driver axle is 27.3mm -28mm in spots, it varies. The Carquest reman axle is 23.4mm just like the OEM passenger side. I'm gonna use it since its no smaller than the OEM passenger side. |
