Have you ever tried to drill out a broken bolt extractor? Been there done that :(

It's like trying to drill out a broken tap. It doesn't happen, usually the tap/bolt extractor is as hard as or harder than the drill bits you would use. So you cannot win.

The factory bolts are pretty soft. AS long as you center the hole and get a good hole drilled you cant fail. The secret is to use WD-40, slow speed and lots of pressure.

You can drill and extract that. Buy a pack quality dremel bits and keep it cool while you drill.

Did you bottom out the bolts somehow?
