Out of state area code... Caller-"ummm, is kevin there?" Me-"Yeah,whose this?" Caller-"ummm...you dont know me but, a few years ago you came up to me and asked me about my dodge colt." Me-"I dont really recall,but it sounds like something I would do." Caller-"Well anyway, you gave me your phone number and asked me to call you if i ever decided to get rid of the car. So i put your number in the glove box and decided to call you." At this point I started to vaguely remember me talking to this guy Me-"Oh ok I think I remember that day. It was in a home depot parking lot, right?" Caller-"umm...yea i think so. I remember you telling me you can put a Mitsubishi eclipse engine in it, and I thought you may want to do that with this one." (yes the guy said umm this many times, lol) Me-"Well I already have a car that im in the middle of doing this swap, but how much are you looking to get?" Caller-ummm...well i dont really drive the car anymore because it has a problem with the battery draining, I was actually going to donate it or sell it for real cheap. Do you want to come see it and make me an offer or something?" Me-"yea sure i can come see it tuesday afternoon" Caller-"ok, thats cool. Here is my address and phone number." LOl...So im just going to go and offer the guy $150 and see if he bites. If i remember correctly it is a black colt hatch. He said the car is a stick. I didnt ask him if it was 4 or 5 spd. Anyone know what could cause a battery drain? haha |

Battery drain means something isn't shutting off when the key is off and pulling power still. So take a voltameter and start pulling fuses one by one. Whichever fuse stops the drain is where the problem is. |

Check to see if the Alternator Fuse is blown. Its the 80 amp fuse in the black box buy the batt. You should be able to tell buy just looking at the top of the fuse. Theres small bolts that hold that fuse in to, so becareful not to brake it. |
