Well guys, as things tend to happen... everything fell apart. I'm not going to get into the specifics, but I'll just say that the last 2 months were really really hard for me. I was literally a couple weeks away from starting on my house, but some things happened and I decided not to build.

However, with all the bad that has happened, it's given me a new outlook on life. I've made an offer on a house, and it was accepted, so now its a waiting / paperwork / inspection game. I'm rather excited. I've made some new friends lately and feel much better about my life in general. May even have a roommate or two lined up for the new place.

I guess sometimes we are meant to wander around a bit, although it seems like I've been "lost" the last 2 years, it has made me appreciate the little things in life much more. Hopefully my next update on this thread will be that I'm a home owner...

OT I wonder about our farmer friend that was crossing the American countryside after working out west?

In topic, good to hear you are getting a house!

OT I just lost my job, BUT have some opportunity lined up. Let's get this thread wrapped up soon cause we'd all have nothing to complain about. 8)

Thanks, Tim. :^) Not to hijack OP thread, but I noticed your reference. I am alive and back in my home area.....trying to work out some bugs at the moment.

Well guys, apparently the home I was trying to purchase has some land line/deed issues. It's 1 month past my closing date, and here I sit still not a home owner. Ironic part is the lady that owns the house works for the same company I do... Anyway, my realtor is working on getting me out of contract. I've decided to look for something a bit closer to school, renting is even a possibility. I still hope to find something with a nice garage, but if it's cheap enough I can always add one.

On a personal note I finally went to the doctor and had a full checkup/physical, first time I've ever done that. I'm over all very healthy, and he's helping me take care of the little things that have bothered me for years (aches,pains,etc.). I feel the best I have in years!

I'm keeping my head up, and open to possibilities now. It's amazing how much your outlook on life can change in only a few short weeks.

Good to hear you are getting the aches and pains under control. That's something that drags a person down on a daily basis. Hear you on keeping a head up and things changing in short periods of time.....pray for guidance in your life, and not the making sense part, and watch the little miracles pop up ahead of you. :^)

Well. I figured that today I'd revisit this thread for the last time. I've been fairly quiet lately. I've been doing a good bit of travel for work, and staying very busy with life in general. Today I signed the papers on my first home. I'm excited and scared, but its an awesome feeling. Tomorrow I start moving all my stuff out of storage into it, hoping to be able to stay the night there tomorrow night as well. I'm probably going to have a friend rooming there as well. I've got 2 weeks to get in and under control, then I'm back on the road for work. Life has definitely gave me some curve balls in the last couple years, but this makes it all worth it! Sorry about the crappy pictures!

Anyone down for a 1st annual 4G61t.org meet at my place? :)
