I've got a 50D now Haven't really had much of a chance to use it because i've been behind the wheel a bit more rather than behind the camera, but i'll be taking it out this weekend along with a 70-300 F4-5.6L which i'm hiring for a few days. Bit of a big occasion for my crew, this is our 10th drift event and we've finally managed to secure a spot at a full track (we usually rent the end of the local dragstrip and set up a cone 'manji' course), hence why i'm bringing my A-game to this one.

Looks good! Drift shots are a pain in the ass. I haven't had much practice taking them, as I don't usually go to drifting events, but the ones I've tried have never come out that great. If you're going to rent a lens, I'd go a little bit more baller than the 70-300 f/4-5.6. May as well rent a 70-200 f/2.8L II IS, or a 300 or 400mm f/2.8 prime...especially if you're bringing the A-game.
