My buddies 96 integra ls was stolen the other night. thieves didnt even damage the ignition. :-? They busted the window to gain entry as it has shaved handles. They ripped out the alarm too. They stole the Greddy turbo setup w/intercooler and Blow off valve, left the injectors and ecu.?!? They even put a stock manifold on it and swapped the wheels out. They drove it with the oil line cut so they couldnt have dumped it far from the where they tore it down. They took all the autometer and Greddy guages/boost controller. They left the body kit but took the amp while leaving the sub. they also left the lsd tranny and racing clutch.
My friend is prety well sick over the car. He sank over 17G into it with a good chunk going to paying me labor for installing half the stuff on it.
We suspect a local shop may have had something to do with it, being the ignition wasnt damaged. Someone may have made a copy of the key.... :( Last time he took it to a shop was for exhaust work and BOV tig welding)
In a way i'm glad i drive a car thats mostly overlooked by car thieves. I feel for this guy though as i did a lot of work to it and feel some of the loss as well.

96-98 Integra's are the most stolen cars in America!

That stinks for your buddy. I feel you on the CSM thing, I love how everybody but me things my car is ugly...therefore they don't think anythings in it.

This stinks on ice. The police is already informed I guess? Looks like the motor is fried when they drove it w/ o oil in it. :( This really sucks for your friend. :(

A fuel pump kill switch would leave the car disabled and they would have to waste alot of time to figure out why the car won't start/died a smalls ways away and time is the biggest enemy of car thieves. People don't pay attention to car alarms anymore. Car doesn't start, they have no way to steal it without a flatbed. Car runs out of gas a block away, every second they waste cranking the engine and pumping the gas is another second closer to jail.

Always use a fuelpump switch.
Sometimes even wiring it to an accesory like a hvac fan switch would leave the car unable to start without the fan turned on :finga:

They stole it for the mods happens all the time here, we have a saying if a honda with a puerto rican or mexacan flag follows you home don't go home. Tell your freind to go to the local street races and see who has a new turbo setup or the same rims as he had chances are he will find the parts. Those ignitions are like cake proabbly picked it or had a variety of keys, honda only has like 50 key sets.

My car got broken into last Christmas. All they stole was my deck, subs, amp, and they tried stealing my tach but the wires were strong enough that they couldn't rip it out. They did take a chunk outta my dash though...bastards. I glued it back together, good as new. They popped my hood but never did anything under there...it was still latched so I know they didn't touch anything. I feel for your friend though, it sucks. I only lost around $1000 so I can't imagine how he feels. I have an alarm now so if someone pees on the car it'll go off.

I was mistaken about the ignition. I guess they did rip it up. He did have an alarm. They just ripped it out and hot wired the car. He did have a kill switch, they found it and ripped it out too. they twisted the wires together and left the switch sitting on the passenger seat.
I'll have my eye out for those 17" rims  I live closer to where it was dumped than my friend. Maybe i'll see it. Then again there are like a billion Hondas in Phoenix.
My friend has found a 00' GSR on the internet in sacramento. He's thinking of getting it. Wrenchin time a comin!
