Well, it comes time once again to park both my colts. The c50 basically needs a clutch to make it worth while seeing the track again, otherwise for the street, its still good.
The c10 needs a turbo. Im out of good turbo's, and its not worth repairing the 9b, in order to swap turbos, i need to customize an ex. manifold.
The c10 also needs tires, and paint. Rust is coming out of the closet.

I have my pickup to drive, and the wife needs something reliable and unmodified. We wanted a car that had cruise and air and all those goodies. So we bought another car, and are parking the colts for the time being.
Its gonna suck not having a colt to drive.

We bought a Mazda Protege5, an 03 used. Im quite impressed with that thing for being stock. Amazing handling and braking for factory. The motor definetely needs a turbo. But its torquey enough and peppy enough for normal driving around here.
I wont miss the poor fuel economy from the colts. The P5 so far has been real good on gas.
Who knows, maybe one day that P5 will get a GTR motor swapped in, or not. No more fwd modding for me.

I just have to vent a little, as i will be stuck driving a non sport vehicle to work everyday.
At least all my cars are still stick shift. I couldnt bare driving automatic.

We drove an automatic P5, and just wonder why people drive automatic 4bangers. Poor engines just scream trying to get up to speed. So we bought the stick of course.
Till this day, ive owned roughly 10cars in the last 12 years, and all have been stickshift.

Thanks for the space.

I once considered, a Pro5, nice looks inside and out, good handling, no go engine, but adequate. Good choice. Anyway, don't leave the colts too long, sitting cars tend to deteriate rapidly, especially in our climate.

Im going to krown rust control all my cars for winter. Its gonna be expensive, but its worth it.

I might even buy a tent from Costco to keep one of them fully covered, and the other i will keep under my car port.
The P5 will also be under the carport, and the truck, gets to sit outside all the time.

I have seen what happens to cars that sit. Moisture is the killer. Hopefully the oiling helps.

The P5 is a really nice base car to race. All it needs is a turbo. And many many guys have done it. There are tons of parts available for the P5. My other option was the Honda FIT sport. Those too are very full of aftermarket options already.

I just couldnt buy a Honda, but i did stick to japanese.
