The FP3065 on Hemi's car is actually making more power from 5000 till about 5,800 rpms than my 50 trim. Though we attribute that to smaller cams and the fact he was running a bit more boost than I was. I think the 50 trim BB is a great match for those wanting a great top end 4g61t. The Ball bearing turbo is making 8-10 psi by 4000 rpms and is actually full spooled (21-22 psi) by 4,800 rpms....and thats with 272's to boot. There is vertually no lag between shifts and its a violent explosion of speed as the 61 reaches redline so quickly.
Also keep in mind that cars at elevation have proven to spool turbo's drasticlly slower than lower elevation's
I love the 272's but think a set of 264's or 264/272 combo would have worked better for a little more midrange power on the little 61....the FP however would probably really come alive with a larger set of cam's.
Turning a 4g61t into 1595 cc's of FURY!
