I finished installing the evo seat tonight. I'm happy with the results. The new seat looks about the same height as the stock turbo seat but I sit a bit higher (old seats had 150k). I was able to install the seat with just a drill,hacksaw and some m8 bolts and nuts. The evo sliders are narrower than the mirage seats so I removed the brackets from the stock seats and used some L shapped and flat metal pieces from the hardware store (osh) to relocate the stock brackets. I spent about $10 on the metal pieces, that came painted black with holes allready in them that actually fit the slider perfectly. One great thing about the evo seats are that the passanger and driver seats are identical. The seat back adjustment knob can be moved to either side of the seat. I installed the passanger seat in the mirage and I will put the driver seat in my bmw. The only thing I had to do was to use the seat belt bracket from the stock driver side and make a simple bracket to bolt it down. With the driver side evo slider it would have been a straight bolt on. |
