i know, i know...some to all of you will say, "why would you?" but i am mostly just curious if there is room at all or if its just too tight to fit all that in a colt/mirage/summitt?

OR if it would fit, but be hard to make work?

I'm sure it's possible, but someone brought it to my attention that the 1.5L Mirage's compressors use a V-belt and M/T + DSMs do not. Anyone have experience with this? Throw the results in a FAQ?

may be possible to switch compressor pulleys. I'll check out at work tomorrow and let ya know if they'll swap.

:D Well, I just had mine done. The AC is still in. :-? On the other hand, my main man wants to take it out when the FMIC goes on (in about two weeks??). I insist that it stays in. The front bumper will really have to be chopped. Also, we may take out the AC condenser fan. I may accept that. It would reduce efficiency, but I don't use much. Normally on low, and usually running with the window open, so I may survive. I'll be back when I know.

I kept mine. Just take the compressor and belt from the 4G61 and put it on the 4G63. Everything else stays with the car.

Well, meaning can you keep a fully charged 4g15 system and bolt it up to 4g63 without recharging/emptying.

If the compressors are the same between models it'll work. Generally each compressor uses a connection setup particular to it. For example: In the 86-89 Accord there are two different compressors used that i know of. Each has completely different lines and connection sizes. Most cars are this way for reasons i am unclear about.
