now all i have to do is find a 2.4l sonata for sale
found a butt ton of 6cyl. ones that wont fit will it? hehehe

The Sonata 6 cyl are 6G72 SOHC. I think they will bolt up in a Colt.

does anybody know for sure i think a 3l mirage would definately be cool.
will the 5 speed bolt up to the 6cyl?
i figure i'll be making my own motor mounts. i love the idea of dropping a way to big motor in such a small car

Berserco are you sure it just drops in you dont 'have to wire the car for a distrubuitoless iginition. Your sure its just plug and play. I've been thinking about doing this swap on my TSI awd and putting a 4g63t head on it and using making a 2.4 liter stroker out of my 4g63t. I know its been done and you can actually use the stock 1g pistons and rods and it drops teh g4cs or whatever its down to a 7.8.1 compression ratio. Also the 2.4 liter hyundai motor comes witha forged crank not a cast like the 4g63t.

If you can't get it apart then I don't sujest that you try and rebuild it.
