This is one of the general questions we get here all the time. Another is, "What do I need to swap in a 4G63 into my Mirage?" All, or at the very least most of your questions can be answered by doing some thorough searching. It will take time, but please be patient. At least start with reading through the archives.

If you feel you've done a fair amount of searching and legwork yourself, feel free to post anything here to start with. Myself and most of the other Moderators will visit here frequently. We'll be more than happy to try and answer your questions, or steer you in the right direction.

That's true, even old rabbits like me can learn something from the youngsters. :)

As far as a newbie question. I have a 1.6 how much nitrous will the motor take safely with a 14b turbo as well. (assume enough fuel is being delivered and there is a small FMIC for the turbo)

You could probably get away with something as large as a 100 shot assuming you have enough fuel to correct it. But remember, there are only two kinds of people who use nitrous not matter what kind of motor. Those who have blown their motors, and those who will.

I run a 55 shot to my 2.5 RS and we run 125 shot to my friend 5.0 Explorer so we have some experience with it. We havent had any problems other than MAF sensors being blown apart in the explorer but it was a lean issue during shifting that we took care of :)

Might give the car a 55 shot will see what it ends up making without it. thanks, just wasnt sure how stout the 4g32b was.

boostfreak yes at 100 shot his best time was 13.8 @ 96 i think (not sure on the speed) he has run 125 and it didnt improve his time, he had a little more wheel spin off the line and we think his exhaust is the restriction as it still has the stock cat setup.

But yes its running 100-125 shot and hes put about 30 bottles through it at this point at the track and on the street. Its a 99 5.0 AWD explorer.

btw how much boost is too much to run out of the stock 9b with a small intercooler? When is it too inefficient? Anyone have a link to a compressor map?

supposedly anything over 12 psi is too inefficient. by then you aren't adding much air flow fot the amount of heat it is creating, even with an intercooler,

Audiofront, please read in the Archives. Everything you need to know is in there, just as dsmracer wrote in the first time. If you have questions not answered in the Archives, please open a new thread instead of posting in a sticky.
