There is a 2.5mm difference in Bore between them. |

There are some engine math guys here. They can answer that. Most of the 4G6X blocks minus deck height differences, I believe have the same starting material thickness in the bores. It is only the boring machines that take them to a proper hole size for a 1.6, 1.8 or 2.0L piston diameter. |

Of all the piston choices I listed, including custom pistons with a higher compression (which could be made lower by the company if requested), why not use 4g61t pistons in your motor??? Short answer to putting 2.0L pistons in your 4G61t, I would not attempt it. You should be talking to us and a machinist (machine shop for engines) about safe bore dimensions for your motor. |

4g61 NA but low boost. 5-7 lbs suggested by some. 4g61NA and delete the turbo. |

You would have to ask a machine shop for the dimensions on both pistons, diamater - clearance to cut to is different for each type of piston (hyper-eutectic, cast, forged, etc), wrist pin height - using 4g63/4g61 rods or if 4g93t rods can be used. I do know that 4g93t rods are weaker. There are 4g93t motors that were stock in our cars, very rare european models mainly. Leftover parts bin. |
