Searched but couldn't find anything specific. What are the differences that give it a boost in hp?

probably intercooler, ecu programming, injectors. You can do this (similarly) with dsm ecu, turning the screw in your air sensor to equal a dsm's(or getting a used one), dsm injectors, and intercooler. But 14b is also recommended :).

Tried to post yesterday, but timed out on the phone.
So, cams, intercooler for the intake and external oil cooler in the bumper, no EGR, intake manifolds that could have likely been Cyclone dual runner and tuning setup in the dual board ECU for timing maps to match it all. That nets you 160 HP, up from 135-140 HP.

Nothing is 100%, but that's close. Best to grab a crate motor and you are all set! Needle in a haystack to find one of the real JDM crate motors setup, much less a half cut.
