Trying to get my head on straight as far as various controls needed to keep my engine in one piece. Can the Apexi SAFCII be used with my ECU ('89 4G61t) for controlling larger injectors (750cc). With that type of controller, does one still need something like a UEGO CONTROLLER 30-4100 (wideband), and then also a EGT, for proper tuning, or does the Apexi provide some of these functions......The more I learn, the more I don't know......Byron

Dude, you really need to spend some time searching around instead of just making a new thread every time you have a question. There are tons of threads on here, and on other forums dealing with these exact same questions.

Yes you can use an SAFCII with your 4g61t ECU. Yes, you should get a wideband to aid with the tuning, and no, the SAFCII doesn't support an EGT, you would need to get a seperate EGT.

NEWBIE's been kicked out of class. I thought that this "Newbie Tech" area was for Newbie's to ask dumb question's. Guess my questions weren't dumb enough. Please consider your problem solved, as questions in engine mgmt (or any other questions) are more that happily answered by the hoard of 'kids' in the HONDA CRX forum's (where I came from).
FWIW I don't have the cubic hours to research these "TON's" of threads and "Other" forums. It took you what....45 seconds, to pitch your bitch and then answer my question. You could have just answered the question in 20 seconds. I've spent hours reading this forum to get this far. Guess I'll just continue reading, as I refuse to let your attitude get me down in my effort to build a Vette kicking Colt.

You're way too big of a dork for your own good. All I'm saying is, if you honestly weren't finding the answers to your questions, then you obviously weren't searching hard enough--they're definitely out there. You can't play the newbie card forever.

Do you know if your ecu is an eprom or not? If it is just have it socketed and get a chip for whatever size injectors you want.

lol I don't think Tonus remembered that this was the "ask your idiotic questions here" section of our forum. Wacolwywerywkksadfkl, if you feel your questions would be better answered by people who think that a 3' wing on the back of a fwd car is a good idea, then ask there. When your car blows up, come back to us with some thick skin and we'll fix you up right. :partyman:

Oh no, I understand what the newbie section is all about, but when you're posting a new thread each week on a question you have, and each question has already been asked 1,000 times, it starts to get a little old, no matter how clever or witty your writing style is. Sorry dude, I have nothing against you, I was a newbie once too. I remember going to a DSM meet back in the day and asking everyone what would be the best 3" downpipe to buy. I remember not knowing what an intercooler or if my DSM even had one. This is why you register on a forum, lurk around, search for what you're wondering about, and if you absolutely can't find what you need them post about it.

Well you have to understand that 4g61t's search isn't perfect, and that is mainly why this forum was created. to help people who aren't that well with csm's or searching. If you don't like a newbies question in newbie tech...just don't respond. lighten up guys this is supposed to be fun 8)
