Took a closer look at a tranny i had laying around and found out its a km210. What is the easiest way to figure out what car its from? i tried looking up the numbers i could find on it with no luck

If you mean the specific car I don't think you'll find out. But it's a 89 GT/Mirage turbo tranny.

km210 doesnt only come in a colt.

I thought that also.



Looks like it could also be out of a sonata?

Some hyundais used the km210 as well, just like how they used the mitsu engines.

Colt turbo's and Sonata's are the only 2 that come to mind based upon what's been tossed around on the site for years. There could be others, but most of the literature that I've compiled only supports those two possibilities. Determine your gear ratio's after final drive, and see what gearing you have, then you can match that to the Sonata manuals or Colt turbo setups: FSM's http://www.lilevo.com/mirage/
