My IM is still sitting in that same spot since I took that picture, .

Since I picked up a 3g CSM i have been concentrating more on it. My 2g is my DD so I can't really put up with the downtime/uncertainty of the 4g63 ecu working with the modified dizzy plate.

If that works Okay, it probably wont run right and I'll try and get 390 injectors and a matching ECU and MAF. Most likely I'll still have to use a piggyback/interceptor to get it to run right. I've also looked over at the Starion/Conquest forums for more ideas on the conversion. What I really want is this MPI conversion to work like a stock ECU, (i.e. stock reliability).

Hope is alive and well.

So I'm bringing this back from the deep, sorry.

I went ahead and successfully tested out the modified sohc mpi distributor with the drilled out cas plate.

Car fired up and idled. I have work on it still to make it road worthy, mainly cleaning up the wiring. The car is a mix of 92 dsm turbo mpi wiring harness, 90 dsm turbo ecu, moates ostrich running speed density, and the rest is original 88 g32b wiring and engine. Other parts include an 91 4g37 IM, 450 blue injectors, and the list goes on.

Here's a short, crappy, iphone vid, if you care. :butthead:

That's pretty cool. Nice job! Have you considered C.O.P. ignition?

Never thought about cop. I've never done it before.

I was thinking though that this could open up options for turbo charging sohc 2 or 2.4 liter engines using the dsm turbo ecu.

You should have more tuning options at your disposal using a DSM ECU then right?

I read up on adding COP on a 4G63, and there's really nothing to it. Now that you have that setup it's just a matter of fabricating a bracket or plate to mount them to. It sure would look cool, if even there weren't any performance gains.

I know it's a super long shot, but does anyone have the photos that aren't displaying in this post?

Message j2dapo, he will likely see the PM, or you could send him an email via the site.
