this isnt about a mirage, but it is funny anyway.

A mate of mine has a 1999 Galant VR-4, V6 2.5L Twin Turbo, all those nice capital letters. anyway we are driving along the motorway when a guy in a "Stock As A Rock" bluebird thinks he is cool and tries to give us a run for our money. we are doing about 115 and this guy floors it, after about 10 seconds he is doing about 120 and my friend just says "F*ck this" and plants the gas. the galant kicks down a gear and we fly past this guy doing at least 140-150, he was pissing himself as we passed him very very closely in the slow lane, what does everyone think of that?, maybe not to impressive, but it does show how sad and stupid some people are

Nissan Bluebird = Nissan Altima

Just a different nameplate in other countries.

after owning 3 T/E/L's so far and putting in wrench time on a lot more I am starting to lust after a vr-4 (galant of course) or a turbo mirage

i actually just took one of my best friends down to MD to buy his 91 green vr-4

Actually, I believe the "Bluebird" is an SSS or more commonly known as the Datsun 510. My roomate is a damn fanatic. He has two 510 stationwagons of all things. But the stereo in that thing hits 142db.

OK, so the early 510 eventually evolved into the Altima, so they still call it a bluebird in japan.
