You guys seem to have so many kills....
I can never seem to get anyone to race me :(
Anyway, i hav had a few people eyeing up the borg (eg someone in a riced out Mini and an Integra) but its still not the pleasure of beating some riced out Civic.

Heh, thats odd. My biggest problem getting races is getting the other cars to take me seriously. Most just laugh till I blow off at them...then they are all business or don't want anything to do with me.

heh....
i'd love to have somebody laugh at me and then destroy them!! Yeah they could be chickens, but what really pissed me off is that i was following my friend in his car (a real hunk of junk 5 door massive family car '89 Corolla) and we pulled up to a traffic light, and this guy in a modded Subby Legacy RS came up beside ME and ended up dragging MY FRIEND. I was almost in tears lol  - my first opportunity to race and my friend takes it :x . Anyway it was just as well i didnt drag him as i would have had my ass handed to me! - that thing was faaaast
Anyway...enough of my complaining......

Does anyone think my car (a stock 4G61) would be able to beat my neighbours car (a stock Civic VT) in a drag. I've been planning on asking him for a drag but i am not sure if i could beat him. He doesnt have VTEC.
I desperately need to drag somebody!!!

personally i think you would, the civic si vtec runs respectable low 15's while most other stock civics run 16.5+

The civic should be somewhat if not a little better then your car's engine, so if your were to drag you would have a hell of a run. You engine stock is less horse power but not by much but your car weight is less giving it a better off the line and better run. In the long run you 2 should stay with eachother till he hits a high 4th then he'll pull away. But good luck, tell me how it goes, I would love to hear of yet another honda getting spanked!

Is yours the 4g61 or 4g61t? That makes a bit of a difference.
I have yet to run across a N/A honda that could take me...though I am not stock. My best honda/acura race was against a GS-R w/ T3/T4. I had him till about 105mph before he finally caught and passed me. I'm not sure what my car runs in the 1/4 anymore, my last run was with mostly stock parts on stock boost and that was a 15.08. I'd say go ahead and race him, it will be fun and should be close. Lossing is part of the game and only motivates me.

heh,
yep, had a run with him. sad thing is, we dont know who won.. We were even all the way. Well thats a bit stupid, my first drag race and i cant even say i beat a honduh..... :x

oh and before i forget, i got killed by a nissan 300ZX V6 Twin Turbo (although i knew i had no chance keeping up in the first place.) Well we didnt actually race but i was behind him and he was going extremely slow. He was doing about 30kph in a 50 zone then all of a sudden, he put his foot down and flew way ahead of me (i was flooring it hard.) Bloody embarrasing
But what can u expect from a car that comes with a factory hp of 300hp

Rewire the fule pump or get a turbo dsm fuel pump and then turn up the boost a little and you'll have not problems whatso ever. You need a boost gauge too though don't turn up the boost without one.

He's in a N/A 4g61 so turning up the boost isn't an option...but a 4g63t swap is
