I was on my way back home from school late last night, and was just cruising along on a long, two lane highway. I notice something coming up in my rear view mirror, and slow down to let it caught up. It comes rolling by me and I notice it's an old school Porsche 911. It was beautiful - white with black wheels and a huge wing on the back. I slowly speed up next to him, and we then approach a red light. He downshifts to slowly cruise to the light, and so I can hear his aftermarket exhaust and his turbo whizzing. It sounded mean. But I returned the favor, and he got to hear my open 3" downpipe. :D The light turned green and we both speed up to 65mph. He was from Florida, so I had to give him a warm welcome to Georgia. 8) I downshifted first, to let him know I wanted to run. He then downshifted, and we both hit it. He instantly pulled half a car on me, but that was all. I stuck him, and slowly started pulling up on him. By the time I shifted it 4th, I was even with him. Midway through 4th I had half a car on him. Then we both let off. HAHA He had to turn off, and honked his horn at me, and I gave him a thumbs up. Yes, another worthy kill for the mighty 1.6L! :D

Way to go, man! :D Hell yeah!!!!!

My neighbor has three Porches itching to be pulled out of the garage, just waiting for the roads to be a little safer. I told him that I would have a Mirage GT to play with soon. Could be a kill-story in the making...hehehe....gave me hope.

Well, I'm not sure on what year it was, but it had the circle headlights, if that helps? haha And thanks for the replies! :D

You expect us to believe that your 1.6 got you anywhere near a 911 Turbo? HAHAHA

He said that he kept up. I'd buy that. Now if he said he had that Porsche by 10 car lengths the whole time....hahahaha....I'd go grab my gun and find him!

Haha Yeah, so what does my motor being the 1.6 have to do with it? Too bad many people don't really understand what the 4G61T is capable of... I do believe it is very under-rated. Why would I make this up? I kept up and pulled by half a car. As restated before, I didn't win by bus lengths. Why don't you stop hating on the 1.6, and appreciate that I had a good run?

i totally believe you, me and a buddy ran neck and neck with a i'd say about 85' 911 Carrera gt in a Mazdaspeed protege with only a mbc set 14lbs for mods! We were on our way to a club in lynchburg and ran him on 29. no BS stayed right beside him all the way to 130mph!

I'd put bus lengths into a 911 turbo with my 1.6...try me. I've no doubt about him running an older 911. Good kill btw.

Don't everyone jump on me at once......the 61t is essentially the same engine as the 63t, with different bores. I am really looking forward to playing with my 1.6 liter soon, and especially when I hear stories like Turbomirage89 just told. Bravo!
