Well I had just tightened up the big 24mm bolt for the oil filter housing. I was hoping it'd fix my car from smoking. I'm trying to convince myself it isn't rings or valve stems. So I take it for a stroll to see if I still smoke.

I was already looking for a race any since I never get one. Depressing.

So I run across a foxbody that sounds great and he and his buddy were already going fast and I see some 4 point harness seat belt. I make me a quick right and catch up with him. I pull up next to him and he hits it as soon as I pull up and I get on it and do nothing more than spin 2nd. I had to slow down by the top of 2nd cause of traffic.

So now he already thinks he's faster than I am. So he scoots over to the far left lane and I get the middle. He hits and almost clears my car and I catch up to him about the middle of his door and then when I hit third I just start to pull him good almost clearing his car. So he pull back up next to each other and he was like that thing pulls hard. We go again almost the same exact thing.

Now we catch a light and he says you want to run'em from a dig I'm like sure but, you'll have to come with me to the gas station cause I'm riding the light. The guys are cool which surprises me cause mustang guys aren't normally pleasant. He told me how my car was a total sleeper down to the beat up tires. I tell him my tires are beat up I just drew on some white walls with some of that tire marking chalk and it was coming off....Kinda look like I was riding down the side of some curbs. He tells me how the car was supercharged and then he had to pull it off cause it was blown. He said that he had heads and a cam which you could clearly hear. So we exchange number in case we get seperated.

So we take off out east to where there is less traffic and we make a left. Nothing but clear street in front of us so we stop in the middle of the street. So his buddy in the passenger seat counts then down. Soon as he takes I'm back about a half a car. Now second is funny...I hit second and catch up to him, through the whole gear I'm see his buddy right here window to window to me but the only thing you hear is tires on fire. I catch third gear and he is back to almost my bumper and then I kept pulling so I let off.

He pulls back up to me giving me the thumbs up and say that he thinks he'll get me on the top end. So I was like we can go from third. So I was afraid to brake boost so I just go from almost the bottom of third. He pulls a car and I hit boost. I'm coming back fast. Almost the top of third I'm going by. I catch 4th and go right on by him.

He turns off and calls me and says we should cruise sometime.

Sorry for the long story. But, I love hearing you guys stories.

So keep them coming.

Sweet. Yeah, mustang guys are usually punk kids but it sounds like you found an actual car guy.

I know I"m a car guy. I could careless what it is, as long as it goes fast and looks clean.

When you have a dedication to making a car perform then it really should matter what it is. It's all time and money.
