Turning off of Huff street onto highway 61, there was two cars in front of me. When we got straightened out, the two cars were in the right lane, I went in the left and punched it to get a thrill. I look up at the first car (SUV) and I noticed it's a TrailBlazer. Then I see the SS badge. So I keep going, shift to third and blow by him...as soon as I pass him I hear him gun it a bit to catch up. So I slow down from like 70 to 60, and he pulls up next to me. I'm in 5th, not prepared...I should've been, but as soon as I put in the clutch to put it in 3rd, I hear him gun it....he gets a car on me. I'm in third, full boost now, and he did not pull away one bit up to 100 when I shut it down. I was so suprised I actually hung dead even with one. He slows down to the speed limit and I pass him going 60, and give him the thumbs up. He smiles and I continue on home. I was fruit and banana pumped after that. What do they have, the 6.0L? I'm on a 700 mile old longblock rebuild, arp headstuds, bs removed, stock intercooler piping, stock 14b, 14psi, stock fuel system, 3 inch exhaust, o2 housing back, no cat. |

Far from a soccer mom suv.....AWD/LS2 Vette motor with vette cams, vette intake manifold, performance exhaust/ HP Torque converter and ECU upgrade, and it'll be something to be scared of. However if I had to pick something new that's got crazy power right off of the showroom floor, I'd go with the Charokee SRT8

Yes, the SS is no joke. I saw one here with 150 shot and a racing torque converter blow off a viper like it was a lawn mower. Adding that it was AWD and from a dead stop. So the viper was just asking for a beating.
