Its odd that with all the f-in street racing I do (I am not glorifying it, its just a sad fact of my life) that I ahve never posted a kill story. I suppose it has become second nature, the norm, and in tern no big deal. But it seems people like to hear these stories, so while I am sans a car, and have tiem to burn, I suppose I can burn though a few. There are enough at this point to fill a small book.
I will turn back the clock to late 2 years ago. The Colt only had a 60-1, and a best of 11.8@129mph.
We were at the local spot. The usuall crown of 150 or so cars milling around. In pulls the infamous "SHOCKM" 911-2400lbs 6XXwhp carbon fiber million dollar machine, but he brough with him a freind with a Red 968. He was not a regular So, the crowd gathers around both cars as the bonnets are poped. I was more interested in the new comer.
He was you typical old rich man, with his way overbuilt machine. He was bragging about his recent 580whp dyno, his T66, and oddities like his Euro market only 20 valve head built by Hans whoever at a cost of more than my year's tuition. What perked my interest was his stories of wating at the side of the highway, waiting for worthy adversaries to race. Stories of molesting Vipers, Modded vetts, 03 Cobras with ease. With his Dyno #'s, I believe it.
So, of course I ask for a run. He declines, and gives some ricer excuse. I didnt push the issue, as I was ona pump/race mix anyways and was actually worried about not being able to keep up. When he left, Mark (SHOCKM) told me to give chase, and he would surly give me a race. So, I left shortly after.
I caught up to him on the highway, and as soon as I saw him, I got behind and matched pace, waiting for an opening. He then slowly cruised to the right. We were doing 80ish mph, with was 4th gear territory for the short ratio trans in the car at the time. I could hear him easily find 3rd, and when I went for the gear, he hit it. He got a car by the time I came into boost, through 4th, I regain the car and then some. Slamed 5th, and walked away. I still to this day dont think he realized what happened.
This is one of the few times a camera was handy, so I have the video to boot.
