Definately not a problem there bud. The top end is insane on this car as with most light weight FWD's. Nic's 376 whp 240sx has cams and is fully built with lighter internals and it's lightened...probably can't weigh more than 2400-2500 lbs. From 6,000- 7,500 rpms it was obvious my car was making much more power to the end of the gear. You just have to pay more attention to suspension set ups, tires, and tranny gearing (lsd a big plus)...and ofcoarse try to pick your races good. Its a totally different feeling than an AWD car. Just imagine racing from a 65 mph roll in 3rd...and you spin the tires till 95. Even AWD guys think that cool.

Galant will be at bandimere on saturday. If all goes well, so will Tara's car. Well she is making 636awhp now. Do you think it can compare? I don't, at least not yet bobby. When you get dsmlink then watch out. Oh when you get dsmlink, you better be calling me. I am the master you know.

Yeah but who wants to spin till 95mph? Spinning is gay, AWD owns us. I know a few guys with AWD cars who converted their cars to FWD for a short period of time and they hated it, though they make quite a bit more power than you and I. It pisses me off that I can only race from a 25098752340mph roll because the car is immobile until the top of 3rd gear.

You make a good point but i thinks it's fruit and banana great when you pull up to a supra or a vette at highway speeds in your colt or mirage and boil the tires next to'em and just give them a wave as you pull on them.....

P.s. That's why they make drag radials and slicks....Oh and spinning till 95 mph is to give those awd guys a chance.... :finga: LOL J/k no but seriously it does...

Yeah its definitely fun pulling up to stock vettes and supras and just blowin the doors off of them, I totally agree. But some of the AWD guys around here like I mentioned before make serious power, so the only advantage we got is the weight. If I'm spinning I'm gettin passed and feel like a deuchebag. I run a 225 BFG drag radial, been with it for a long time. Its a great tire and definitely helps limit spin but when you are making 400ft/lbs of torque in a 2400lbs car there isn't much to help you stop spinning. 4th gear on the other hand.......

While the spinning actually does suck if the car is making a ton of power next to you. My car weighed 2005 lbs with driver last season and its a probably 50 lbs lighter now. When I get this thing tuned and run some real boost...I'm wonding if I'll get traction from a roll in 4th. I have no LSD nor am I running any kind of race tire. I have less than $3000 into this car as it sits. I doubt there are any AWD's in the area with $3000 invested that could touch me from a 60 mph roll...and I will spin the tires to 90-95 though its is still accelerating rather quickly. Tara's is car on another level, but when I get slicks and LSD, the power to weight ratio should be close. Just imagine her motor in my car...with slicks...and some spare axles...and a tranny.

2005lbs with driver is pretty damn light. Anything over 400whp should yield some 10sec passes assuming your suspension is setup well and the car 60 foots decent. Colt turbo axles should hold up pretty decent. Buddy of mine made 603whp in his colt on the OEM axles.

I've always been able to pull consistent 2.1-2.2 60's on street tires, but that was at much less power. With slicks, I'm thinking 1.8's will be probable, maybe to a 20 shot off the line to help get some torque to the wheels and prevent bogging. I bet it still spins first and second with slicks but it will be accelerating much faster. I really want a 10.9 or faster once all is said and done. 11's as it sits now.

Robert, when does the 1.6 achieve full boost with the 50 trim?

Yes, is there any kind of meet tonight?

Full spool is right at 5K in third but it begins building boost at 3,900.

I dyno'd it today and made 355.3 hp and 277.11 ft/lbs at 20 psi and it was pulling a lot of timing up top. It started to run lean and nock after 6,500 and power would drop off. I need to get a 255lph and re-wire, then it should make closer to 380 at the same boost. Then I'm bumping it up to 25 psi. :finga:

Fine time for me to read this. We went down to the Hamburger Stand on Union. There were only 5 Subarus and 1 Evo some other stuff. It was Team 3 Zero 3. I just rode with Russ (White 2g). Then we went downtow and that was boring. So overall it wasn't to fun.

Nice power on only 20psi, specially for a 4g61. Is this # configured with SAE correction?

SAE correction was 1.24...it used to be 1.26 but after compairing it to some lower elevation dyno's on the same cars they lowered it. Uncorrected was just shy of 286 hp. I was shocked at the numbers myself, I was shooting for 300 uncorrected but now I'm thinking 350 is a realistic number. Race gas and 30 psi might even get me to 400 uncorrected...but I'm crossing my fingers there. I'm gonna try another dyno to compair numbers, something with a higher load because I was spooling 400-500 rpms slower on the dyno than on the street.
