Too bad it was just a GS :axe:

I was on my way home from work tonight in the GSR, and one of my coworkers who just bought a new 4g was driving behind me. I motion him along side of me, and convince him to follow me out to the local track. We quickly cruise to it, and end up lining up at the "lights". I decide I'm going to play possum a bit and let him get the hit out of the whole, because I'm pretty confident I'm not going to lose.

Lights go green, and he takes off. I let him get about a carlength on me, drop the hammer, and take off. Well, kinda. Cold ass concrete and cold ass tires mixed poorly, and I spun like crazy all the way through first. I slam it into second, spin more, and finally hook at about 45mph. He's about two cars up now, but the amazing power of VTEC (HA!!!) gets me back in the game. I really let it go in second, taking it to eight grand and throwing it up into third as I came back up to his bumper. Shift went smooth, and I just continue to pull. Hard. I shut it down at about 100, with at least 2-3 car lengths seperating myself and the little red Eclipse. We both slow down, and he pulls along side, stunned at how quick the 8 year old Honda is. Oh how clueless he is.

Regardless, I'm going to have to put the 4-banger Eclipse in the dog catagory. Getting walked that hard by a GSR is pretty sad. He shoulda bought a GT.

A new, new eclipse? Woah, sweet. Smooth driving there, slick. 8)

Honda kill stories on a DSM board...priceless.

And yeah, its kinda ironic eh? But what can you do, its nice having a reliable DD, and sometimes I get the urge to run it.
