I wasn't going to go, out however some kid called me and advised there was a guy in a chipped 300ZX TT that wanted to run me.
So at 10pm, I'm laying there in the bed, and I said "f*ck it" Lets go out and see whats out there.


I get up to Rockville at around 11:00 and the lot is packed with
nothing but EVO's, Supras, DSM's, a gaggle of Honda/Acura swaps and one little POS black CSM with a 4G63 swap

I took out the LSD tranny earlier that day cause I bent the third gear shift fork, so I wasn't up there to run, I just wanted to see the action that was out there.

So I get the usual questions when I pull up.

"Yo, is this one of those 4G63 Colts?"
" Yo, I seen one of these on the highway a while back that RAPED a Civic!!"


Anyhow, the big race of the night was supposed to be an alleged 9 sec LS1 camaro againt an alleged 10 sec Turbo Teg previously owned by Nu Image.
The race was supposed to take place about 20 mins from where we were. Well the word got around about the race so everyone and their mother got on the highway at the same time

There must have been at least 100 modded cars on I-70 going up to Frerick, MD at the same time. I caught a couple of roll ons,
Guy and his girl in a Red 96 or so Civic Hatchback pull up on me at about 60 mph, kid revs his motor. I roll down my window and look over.
He nods, I put my hand on my chest like... "You want me?"
He revs again. I hit brakes, and gear down to third.
I wink at his girl, and I wave him on so he can have a headstart.

He takes it, and he's gone. I NAIL it and come past him spinning fourth gear. Snatch fifth and it's over before it even started.

But since there was so much traffic, I decided to take it easy after that and watch the antics from behind the pack.

We get up to Frederick, MD, and pull into a park and ride........ And the COPS show up. Race cancelled

o gosh, why must this snow keep falling??? all i get to do is go outside an start my car in the garage an watch the snow fall. when is it goin to be over.. its killing me!! i gotta get down that way with you geoff. sounds like you always have someone to mess with. but i guess i really shouldn't be out looking for races without a license, no?

Yeah. Snow's coming down here as well.


I did all I could just to get to work.

Man it sounds like you could have had a field day if your tranny wasn't F'ed. We get a bunch of the guys from Manassas and Fairfax down every once in a while, several from Nu Image. The boys from up there always try to run there 10 and 11sec FWD hondas against our RWD mustangs. Unfortunately it doesn't work out for them too often. But it is cool to see all the expensive quick cars that they have. Couple weeks ago they bring down a stroker motor viper thats spraying some rediculous amount of nitrous and is running on Yokohoma autocrossing slicks. Needless to say, it wasn't slow.

would love to bring it out, kind of waiting for the crappy weather to change before tho. really don't like to be driving around in the salt an whatnot. im down for whatever tho, keep me updated on whats going on down that way. was on that forum a couple of times not lately.

awesome - well we're not meeting yet anyhow - but there would be tons of people that would love to stare at a turbo colt
