Listen guys,
I just got back from court.

I had to testify in "roadrage" manslaughter case in which one guy ran someone off the road and the person died.

I'm not sure if I can really discuss the specifis but I'll tell you this much. Two guys were in a fit of roadrage. The first driver was in a subcompact, and the other driverbehind him was in a MUCH LARGER SUV.
The driver in the SUV manuevered around a smaller car. When the driver went around the smaller car, he mis-judged his distance and clipped the car.
The smaller car left the roadway, ran into the grass sideways, and up an embankment.
When the car went up the embankment it went airborne.
Because of the angle the car was at when it was in the air, the cars roof
impacted with numerous trees and the driver was crushed to death.

Myself, and an off duty Park Police Officer witnessed the accident.

The reason I'm telling you guys about this is because we've all been in a situation on the road where the "other" guy was doing something dumb and preventing us from getting to our destination. The SUV driver
made a bad and fatal mistake by cutting the other driver off.

That guy isn't going home to his wife, his mother will never be able to tell him that she loves him.

The guy who caused the accident might face criminal charges, jail, time,

Be so very careful of the decisions you make out there guys.

Dayum. It's friday and people are driving like nutters today all around here. I had 4 people pull out in front of me going along one street and stuck behind 3 different people going 20mph in a 25mph zone, 10mph slower than everyone else and we had a 15 car line going back all the way. :axe: :axe: :axe:

I second the notion of take the rage to the track, and burn out your car all by your lonesome; at least then you know you've accomlished something with all that anger. lol
Driving a Mini-Van as a customer shuttle at work all day, I see all kinds of stupid things happening around/to me. I have caught myself doing some stupid things and I really try to hold back now because the only things keeping you from going faster are your brain and right foot.
Don't be a statistic and speed everywhere you go, both myself and my girlfriend almost became a statistic recently, and only by the grace of some peripheral vision am I able to continue walking today.
I was milliseconds from a driver door hit at 50-60 K'ms an hour.

That exactly what you shouldnt do. That's actually what got the other guy killed. If someone's riding your tail... move over and let him/her speed by and deal with the ticket they're about to get.

well if it's a 2 lane road.... i'm not gonna pull over to the shoulder and get a flat tire because some guy's being a dick. and besides... the slower you go, the less likely the accident will be fatal, correct? i'm not trying to argue with you, but if someone is willing to endanger their own lives as well as their kids in the back seat, then they're already have clouded judgement and are likely to do just about ANYTHING, whether you try to get out of their way or not.

Dude. I know you're not trying to argue, but I saw first hand what happens when two assholes are on the road at the same time playing
chicken with each other. To each their own I guess. I'd rather speed up and then get over, rather than have someone ride my ass, then try and go around me, try to cut me off, misjudge the distance, and hit me.

well you're from around here so you know that when people are on your ass, no speed limit applies to them... no matter how fast you go, they're still right behind you. hmmm, let me rephrase that, they're still right behind me and my 4g15 colt while you're a good mile or so ahead of 'em before they realize it  lol

Ya don't need much. Hell, I've done it a few times in the wet when doing a "spirited merge" into traffic.

I love my GVR4

Ok, back :ontopic:
