ahh, how the impotent Vtec owners think they can beat a turbocharged car
In Auckland, myself, and 4 other people in the car (not small people either) were just cruising along, come up to a set of lights. then a 92 Prelude pulls up next to me, and revs the engine. my friend leans out of the passengers window (hes a honda guy
) and tells him we will race, then shouts "show him what Vtec can do!"
The rest is history really, lights go green, the ZR takes off, leaving the prelude behind in the dust, he begins to catch me in 3rd gear, and i can hear the Vtec whining its little heart out, so i just keep the pedal to the metal and shift into 4th, the boost comes up and im outta there!
keep in mind the relative weight differences in the cars to begin with
Prelude 1270 kilo
Eterna 1450 kilo
he was more than 200 kilo lighter than me, even if you take into account the passengers in my car
What can i say?, i love boost
